At 12:00AM yesterday morning, we officially launched a 6-week fundraising campaign for our next full-length. We know we know, what band isn’t using sites like Kickstarter to raise money for their new record now-a-days. We hope you’ll hear us out. And maybe just maybe catch a small glimpse of the excitement we’re feeling in this new chapter.

It sounds silly, but today marks an exciting moment of clarity for us. We may be the four most excited dudes about it—but we’re hella excited to open the next chapter in the book called “the silly music we make.” We thought we’d do one of those things where a band gets all dramatic and posts something on their website about it.

We added some stuff to the ol’ myspace player. A new song (temporarily named “H.Y.T.A.M.”), a few more tracks from “Be One of Us and Hear No Noise” and a remix we did for some friends last summer. Let us know what you think! We’re trying some new stuff.. singing—at the end of the song anyway :)

Last night we sat down together and wrote music. For the first time in 2 months. Really exposes how busy our lives have been. New material is different.. jazzy, dark, vocals (kinda). Can’t wait to show anyone who’ll listen.

Thanks for a great show last night at Party Expo! It was Magical, come back to Brooklyn soon!

Thanks Anonymous, we were just in Texas in March. We will probably be heading that way in March 2011 at the latest. There is some talk of one more tour this year though, so we’ll see what happens.

We are embarking on our 3rd tour to the east coast and first tour into Canada. We have passports in hand and could not be more excited to play for our friends in New England and our soon to be friends up north. We cannot believe the talent of bands that we are getting to play with or the caliber of venues we have the opportunity to play. This will be our first tour with our new touring drummer: Ben Hoeppner. He’s an A+ dude and drummer that we are excited to get sweaty in the Beauville with this July. He also happens to be single and ready to mingle. We will also have our best dude Ben Hoffman with us as tour manager, and companion. If that’s not enough packing into the van, Nate’s brother Bryan will be our first ever touring merch-man. I don’t know if he’ll be looking for tips, but if he is, help a brother out. We want to also note that the amazing folks at wearepostrock.com will be taping our performance at Casa Del Popolo (which happens to be run by members of GY!BE). If you haven’t been by their website, you should make some time, great music, great cinematography. Also, absolutepunk.com will be streaming our new vinyl in support of our tour. It’s possible that they may be doing even more for us, there sure are some good people at Absolute Punk. Thanks for reading this far, here are the dates:

A video from SXSW has surfaced! This is a performance in Austin of “Kings Die Like Other Men” with live improvisation from members of Brittain Ashford and Husband&Wife. Evan Wilson and Audrey Lopata painted along side the show! Note: improvisation doesn’t always mean the notes on bells will be in the right key. And in this case.. maybe not in the right key at all. HA! But joking aside, this was such an amazing evening. Highlight of our debut SXSW experience without a doubt.
